Lightning

Blue Lightning 2, originally uploaded by Gord Lacey.

This isn't really about DVDs, but I was watching one when this storm began. I wanted to see if I could snap something decent, and this is what came of it.

I messed around with capturing a storm last year using a webcam, and while the pictures looked cool, they were poor quality due to the webcam limitations. Hopefully we get another decent storm through the area and I can play around some more.

That is cool and scary at the same time.

Cool. Gotta find a pic of lightning on a sunny day. Very rare but it does happen.

Cool pics. I hope you don't mind if I use one as a desktop background. I've been looking for a cool night cityscape and the lightning just adds to it.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I was surprised by how well it turned out. Feel free to use it for desktops, or whatever.

Hey, thanks Mr. Lacey. I just got a new flat LCD and that pic made for one excellent background. What city is it anyway. Thanks, again.

That's a western view from my condo in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The buildings on the left are office buildings and some condos/apartments, while the bright area on the right is a shopping complex (Safeway, some banks); everything else is low dwellings - condos, apartments, houses and townhouses.
