What Do YOU Want With A Big Bow On It?

It seems like Gord and I both have gone blank today, without much to say here on the blog. So let's open up the floor to you guys. With the holiday gift-giving season coming up - no matter what you celebrate, there's probably a gift in it somewhere for you! - what TV-DVDs do you hope to find wrapped up in pretty paper?

I know that I'm hoping to find the Leave It To Beaver lunchbox set waiting for me, and I'd love for something Bizarre to make it's way down from Canada to me! ;)

As I'm sure you know, I could sit here all night and make out an extraordinarily long list of TV-DVDs I wouldn't mind having. Instead, let's open the floor to you...what one or two TV-DVDs do you want the most?

I've been holding out for Flinstones Season 4. Not to mention Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 3. Gotta love the classic animation!

Knowing the way I put stuff on my list and a few things my mom told me she was getting, I'm probably going to get the following for Christmas:

Sports Night
Entourage Season 1
The Joe Schmo Show Season 1

Speaking of Joe Schmo, if Spike TV doesn't release Joe Schmo 2 on DVD I'm going to put somebody in a headlock.

I had Lost and Gilmore Girls season 4 on my list but those were low priority so I doubt I'll get them. I've got some movies on my list including Sky High and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and some other things, but the biggest factor in my small list of shows is that I've been buying everything I want most of the year already. My birthday was in November also so I already got Battlestar Galactica season 1, Arrested Development season 2, and Veronica Mars season 1.

I also used a birthday gift certificate to Amazon to preorder The Shield season 4, that'll get here in the week after Christmas.

My hints couldn't be any louder to my wife and daughter. I'd like to have Alias Season 4, which I purposely did not watch on network TV and then have the The Twilight Zone 1st Season. Those should keep me busy until NYPD Blue season 3 comes out!

Dear Santa:

Ahh, to wake up and run to the Christmas tree (like the big kid that I am) and hurridly tear open the paper and find the Sherwood Schwartz series, It's About Time: The Complete Episode would be the best Christmas ever! I repeat, EVER!!! Please Santa, don't disappoint me.
P.S. The Bugaloos would be a close second.

I didn't buy Gilmore Girls season 5 or 24 season 4 on their release dates, so that I could ask Santa for them. He better come through!

The Simpsons S7, The West Wing S1, Frasier S11, The Flintstomnes S2 and Cheers S1 are what I'm hoping for this year.

I'd also like to take this oppurtunity to wish you, Dave & Gord, a great holiday, and thank you both for another excellent year of the TVShowsonDVD.com site - the only site I visit every single day (usually three or four times a day), and indeed the only site that seems to always have new updates each visit!

I am looking for Leave It To Beaver and The Andy Griffith Show (Season Three). I was hoping there would be a Dragnet 1968 (Season 2 of the Sixties Dragnet episodes), but the series has apparently been shelved by Universal after one season. You guys from TVShowsonDVD.com might want to look into it - even season one has disappeared from the official Universal TV-on-DVD site So - no Dragnet under the tree this year, but I'll be happy with the others!

There are several more than these but here are a few:
Family Guy:Volume 3
Aqua Teen Hunger Force: V4
Batman TAS: V4
Superman TAs: V2
Gilmore Girls: S5
Simpsons: S7

I hope Santa comes through on some of these.

I'm all but certain I'll be receiving season 1 sets of Lost and House on Sunday. Others on my wishlist include Due South (Canadian or US releases - I don't care) and Red Dwarf series 6 & 7 (the latter only available in region 2/4 for a few more months).

I'm looking forward to getting Quantum Leap S2 on DVD. I know I've got it as I had to order it (poor mother still doesn't know how to shop online).

I love Quantum Leap!

Over the summer, Comcast had episodes of Starsky & Hutch available for free on demand. I became addicted to the show and watched the episodes multiple times until Comcast stopped showing them in October. I've asked for the three available seasons on DVD.

I've asked for:
- Millennium S2
- Northern Exposure S3
- 24 S2
- Star Trek: Deep Space Nine S4
- Cosmos

And if it weren't for the fact that SeaQuest DSV S1 is being released on December 26, that would be on my list too. That will probably end up being my late Christmas gift to myself!

Gargoyles Season 2, Volume 1
Quantum Leap Season 4

I haven't asked for anything because, well, since I still live with my parents and don't have to pay bills, I have more money than they do. BUT if I had asked, I would have asked for
these I really want:
seasons 3 & 4 of smallville
the 3 seasons of L&O: SVU that are out

These, I'd just like to have:
Lost
Veronica Mars
The OC
The Muppet Show
Seasons 4 & 5 of buffy (I bought 4 used on ebay and 1/2 of the discs are REALLY scratched)
Some Angel sets
Firefly

Pretty much, I've bought all the DVDs I REALLY wanted this year. I bought Undeclared, smallville 1 & 2, everwood, Lois & Clark, Friends: The One With All 10 Seasons (the box that comes with this is NICE!), there's probably some more, but I can't remember at the moment! :D

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

What a difficult question!

It'd be great to find Angel season 4 and season 5.

I'd also like The O.C. season 1 and a bunch of others, but since I already have all Buffy seasons and Firefly, I'm not desperate for anything else.

Gosh, where do I start...

Lost - Season 1
Into the West - Complete Series
Tru Calling - Seasons 1 and 2
The 4400 - Season 1

These others I'm still waiting for a release date...

Joan of Arcadia - Season 2
The 4400 - Season 2
FreakyLinks - Complete Series

...hey, a girl can dream;-)

Happy Holidays, all!

If Santa could get to work on
getting WKRP out on DVD, that'd be the best gift in the world. Somehow, I doubt it's going to happen, so there better be a copy of Law&Order season 4 under the tree with a bow.

No one buys me DVDs so I pretty much have already bought for myself everything I want. I guess I could ask for the 6th and 7th seasons of The Simpsons which I don't have yet as well as for the first season of Leave It To Beaver.

Of course, those are from what's actually available. Since we're fantasizing, why not go ahead and ask for stuff that's not out yet (and which may never be). After all, I hear Santa has a great DVD burning set-up. So I might ask for...

Lawman
How The West Was Won
Head of the Class
When Things Were Rotten
Maverick (full season set)
Laredo
Batman

Yes, I like westerns...

I would like "Beauty and the Beast" (the 80's fantasy romance with Linda Hamilton). Has anyone heard when or if it will be released?

Although it is past Christmas, I would like a simple Holiday card from Warner Bros. saying that they will forgo the "TV Favorites" and release COMPLETE and UNCUT season sets of Night Court.

It ticks me off to no end that the one show I am really interested in has not been released on DVD. All hail "The Tick" (1994)

I ended up with Home Improvement S1, Challenge of the SuperFriends, and my dearly beloved Beverly Hillbillies Ultimate (in the sense that the season's not complete and episodes are missing/out of order) Collection. As it turns out, I gave more season sets away than I got, but that's the beauty and the spirit of Christmas :)

I would LOVE to find Hart to Hart Season 2 under my tree!!!
Didn't happen this Christmas, but hopefully next!

(By the way, this is a huge hint for the Studio Big Wigs to release Season 2.)
